June Outreach: Human Impacts on Coastal Louisiana
June 24, 2023 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join us at Woodlands Preserve for an outreach event, Human Impacts on Coastal Louisiana!
This month we are joined by University of New Orleans graduate student and estuarine ecologist, Donald Davidson, to learn about the various ways that humans have influenced Louisiana’s coastal wetlands as well as what could be done (and what’s being done) to mitigate the negative impacts.
On this guided interpretive hike we will visit sites that specifically highlight both historic and recent human-driven changes to the landscape at Woodlands Preserve.
This event is free and open to the public.
We will meet at 449 F. Edward Herbert Blvd., Belle Chasse, LA 70037
