Service Learning

Service learning woodlands conservancy

Woodlands Conservancy is an ideal place for service learning projects! Local and regional university students (as well as students from across the U.S.) visit Woodlands Trail and Delacroix throughout the year to help with research and preservation of our forested wetlands.  Internships are also available on an as needed basis both in the office and out the the field.

If you would like additional information regarding service learning projects, internships, or participation in our Seeds to Saplings program please call 504.433.4000 or email Katie Brasted at katie@woodlandsconservancy.org.

“Seeds to Saplings” is our service learning program that involves 4th grade students with hands on forest restoration as they learn how their community and their environment are interconnected.
